Welcome to Fox's showing of the 2008 Daytona 500! Derrell Waltrip here along with Larry MacRenolds. We are here on this beautify Sunny Sunday afternoon here in Daytona Beach Florida! Jeff Burton grabbed the pole last week and has shown he's a factor in todays race! (Skips ahead to the start)
Jeff Burton takes teh green flag with Scott Riggs on the outside! Coming down turn 1...  Oh man! Dale Earnhardt Jr. loses a wheel slams up into Jeff Gordon who slams into the wall! 25 cars were involved in this wreck and no car will be able to race again! Dale Jr, Jeff Gordon, Johnny Sauter, David Reutimann, Casey Mears, Denny Hamlin, and many others were involved!

Oh man! Here we go again! Kevin Harvick who was leading gets loose and slams into teammate Jeff Burton who comes down and hits Jimmie Johnson real hard who goes up and slams Mark Martin who comes down and whacks Clint Boywer who slams into Jeff Green!

5 to go oh man trouble! Scott Riggs spins and barely touches Elliott Sadler, but both stay on!
3 to go no green white checkered yet, but Kasey Kahne leads with Bill Elliott behind him!

Here we go boys! We will have a green white checkered here! Kevin Hamlin Scott Riggs and Elliott Sadler take hard hits, but they are ok, but their cars are done leaving Kasey Kahne and Bill Elliott racing for the lead!
Green Green Green as we have 2 to go right now!
Kasey Kahne and Bill Elliott are switching back and forth between pos'n cleanly racing though! No help at all from anyone!
White Flag flies as the are neck n neck racing for the win! That lap no one led as they both were tied!
Here it comes final stretch! Kasey Kahne Bill Elliott!!!!!! OH MAN THAT WAS REALLY CLOSE!!!!! Who got the win? Way too close to tell from up here!
Our computer monitors tell us Kasey Kahne won by .00001 second!!!!!!!!!! That's as close as it gets! What a race! No one left on the track except for 2 drivers! Great race for you Bill Elliott as you managed to get past all three big ones! What do you think about this race?
"Oh Larry, it is not like any other I have raced! I congradulate Kasey Kahne on his first Daytona 500! He deserved it! After a race like that I need some Coke!"

I'm here now with Kevin Hamlin who managed to get 3rd even after wrecking! What do you think of that finish?
Oh man! I wish I was there in that winning Dodge! Chip Ganassi gave me a great car and I guess I just blew it there towards the end!
Now if you hadn't wrecked and you were the only other car there with those two, would you have helped either one of them?
I would've made it three wide!  No, I would've helped either one!

Oh man! Speechless! Not much to say other than I would've like to have been there!
If you were there with those two guys and it was just you, who would you have helped?
They both were great help to me over the years, so I would've just stayed back and not affect them!

you should use the 2008 Cars (out so far) and run a real Daytona 500 lol
