If you have sight-syn and you get a response from names (doesn't have to be color, can be texture or taste or anything else), post them! 
Here's my first list, from a series I'm just starting the third book of:

Phelan

What about emotion? The name Radharani makes me feel happy or joyful :mrgreen: Just the sight of it. But this is the only one I discovered for now. I'll see if other names makes me feel somehow  |

Katie - Yellow, or thereabouts.
Owen - White, or very pale.
Rod - Dark red, maroon maybe?
Ari - Yellow.
Trix - Dark grey or black.
Ethelinda - First part is green, second is more grey, with a tad of ellow at the end ^^
Gemma - Ooh, not too sure. I think it's a rich colour, probably a deep rich purple.
Marcia - Pretty much yellow.
Phelan - Unsure. I think the 'e' and the 'a' are fighting, because they are both strong colours for me (E: Green, A: Yellow)
I love these type of threads. I can't wait for either more names (!) or for other people's responses. |

Rod - brownish purple
Ari - white and caramel
Trix - yellow-caramel-pink
Ethelinda - mostly dusty blue

Katie: dark navy blue-purple, pink-orange, tan/brown, dark silver-gray, pale yellow
Owen: white, dark navy blue w/ hint of purple, yellow, brown-red
Rod: Brown red & navy blue (two colors at the same time, not blended), white, dusty tan-orange
Ari: pale mango/macaroni orange, dark red-brown (sorta like dried blood, yet not), dark silver-gray with small hint of navy blue
Trix: medium brown, slightly darker than medium brown w/ hint of dark red, dark silver-gray w/ hint of navy blue, dark navy blue w/ hint of dark purple and dark gray
Ethelinda: yellow, browns/dark brown-reds, dark silver-gray w/ hint of navy blue
Gemma: navy blue w/ bit of dark purple, yellow, dark pink, but not magenta, light pink-macaroni orange
Marcia: dark pink (but not magenta), light pink w/ small hint of macaroni orange, dark red-brown (like dried blood), green w/ hint of sea green, dark silver-gray w/ tad bit of navy blue, pink w/ macaroni orange.
Phelan: dark pink (like M) but a bit more of a purple tint, silver-ashy-colored sky blue, yellow, red-brown, pink-macaroni orange w/ hint of red, brown-red.
Goodness! I really wish I got colors for words and names instead of being able to see every letter equally. It makes it so hard to describe!! |

Owen - bright orange that turns darker towards the middle
Rod - dark orange
Ari - blood red
Trix - vibrant green turning to grey at the end
Ethelinda - yellow (and for some reason the name seems...tropical, like there's more colors but i can't tell)
Gemma - deep green at the beginning and dark red for the rest
Marcia - dark red with a dash of blue in the middle
Phelan - dark orange |

Me too actually! I even like his last name (Idris) and how it matches with Phelan...Idris is white and brown, and together his name has the colors of a fall day. Unfortunately he's the bad guy in the books. :roll: |

My colours of names (as for all the words) deppend on the 'strongly' coloured letter (I've always wondered about things like this, but I think it makes sense to me :roll: )
Katie is mostly green, because K is undefined, while 'a' and 'e' are green and more coloured then the red 't' and the lilac-purple (or something like this 'i')
Owen - mostly orange (w) and green (e)
Rod - red, 'R' and 'd' are red, and 'o' is always like a water glance, so the other letters reflect on it. I think my 'o' is cool 
Ari - red
Trix - red and yellow
Ethelinda - yellow, red, tawny, green, purple, red
Gemma - crimson (G) and green (e, a)
Marcia - red (r), green (a) and dusty light blue (c)
Phelan - mostly green (e, a) and purple (l)
I feel different emotions and moods in response to names, or they just make me feel somehow. For example, the name Ari makes me feel antique; Trix - irritated and confused; Phelan - mystic. The others are very hard to define, I can feel them, but can't explain. Actually all the moods in response to names are very specific.
I wonder about something else that could probably be synesthesia. Almost always when I see a name or a nickname, I have the feeling that I know it's gender and age. Is having gender and age for names also synesthesia? |
