Since these boards don't differentiate between hyperlinked text and non-hyperlinked text, the mods decided to make an exception to the default-color-only rule. If you have a link, go ahead and color it blue for clarity. Try to keep it to a word or two, or a reasonable few if it's a book title or something, so we don't have huge strings of blue words that people might find hard to read. (The huge strings of blue that show up automatically if you just paste in a big long hyperlink without using the [url] tags -- those aren't an issue since nobody has to try to read those. They're just taken as one visual unit.)
Crash-course on coloring text, if anyone needs it:
There's a drop-down menu for text color on every reply screen right below the bold/italic/etc. controls. Just highlight your text and click Blue.
I noticed. I did it myself on the very first Nexus Rules posts I made, before I turned them all into screenshots. It's just a clarity thing that needed a formality, is all.
