Yesterday I saw 'T29' as part of a car's license plate -- and I swear I thought it said '429'. It actually took me a few very long seconds to reconcile that the shape 'T' was not a 4 -- my brain did not want to believe it was a T -- and I'm almost positive it's because T and 4 are both yellow. I say almost positive because 429 is my birthday too, so I'm very used to seeing those numbers together...but in the moment I saw that license plate, all I saw was yellow and letter-number-mixup. I didn't think of my birthday until several moments later.
I don't have sight syn, so that has never tricked me. But I often get tricked by my sound syn. I have a sound - touch response and they are not always in the same direction. So sometimes I get tricked into thinking the sound is coming from one direction, when its actually just that the touch response is. An example would be me thinking that a sound is coming from behind me because it tickles the back of my neck.
It's strange though - I usually know that a sound is coming from the correct direction, I just have a moment of confusion.
