I was in a parade on Monday with marching band (about 2 miles) and near the end we stopped a couple times. When we stopped we were still marking time (like marching in place but keeping the front of your feet on the ground), and it being the end of the parade, my legs were starting to feel kind of weird from marching so long. They felt kind of like noodles and when this happened I saw a mango-yellow-orange color (saw in a mental sense rather than physical). Would this be associated touch -> syn  X stimulus evokes X response  color -> syn ? It was involuntary but I don't know about consistent (and I'd rather not test it again any time soon!)

Yes, it sounds like  touch -> syn  X stimulus evokes X response  color -> syn  syn to me. If you're not sure it is consistent, you could see if other sensations evoke colours. When I found my  touch -> syn  X stimulus evokes X response  color -> syn  syn, I realized every part of me feels in colour, and all these colours were always there, I just haven't noticed them. Maybe because I never thought they're something unusual. It's possible you even don't know about it, but if you get a syn response to a physical feeling, then you most likely have some other  touch -> syn  syn too.

It does have the ring of syn, but are you sure the stimulus was  touch -> syn ? I'm wondering if heat or fatigue might have come into play too (I remember parades being really really hot when I used to march). If you're pretty sure it was a  touch -> syn stimulus from your legs, maybe keep an eye out for it in band camp or flag camp a month-ish down the road (assuming you're doing flags again next year... big smile ). But it does sound like a syn.

Without checking for consistency (and I understand that that isn't something you particularly want to do!) it's impossible to say for sure, so I guess just keep an eye out for possible touch-colour for a while.

Other than that, only you can say what it seemed like to you, and if it seemed like a touch-colour response to the noodle feeling, then it's very much possible that it was.

No, I'm not quite sure, and that's part of why I was a little iffy. And yes, it was really hot.

That sounds like syn. I usually "feel" the color. One time I had a horrible stabbing pain in my side ( I had to be rushed to the emergency room) and I actually saw a huge white circle that took up almost my whole vision.

I've heard of other people "whiting out" from pain. Kinda like black out, I guess, so I'm not sure if that is Syn. or not.

Turned out I have food allergies  worried/unsure

Has any one else had these experinces?

JazzGirl, I've never had anything like that. I have some associated  touch -> syn  X stimulus evokes X response  color -> syn but I just see it as a mist in my mind's eye. Also I haven't heard of 'whiting out' from pain. You didn't lose consciousness, did you?

Yay for weapons...color guard weapons that is. wink  cool

You know when else you might watch for that mango-yellow-orange response (besides band/flag camp)? Whenever you have to run the mile in gym. That always made my legs noodley, and when they do it in the fall and if you have that class in the morning, sometimes it's not too hot. You might be able to separate out the stimuli. Just a thought. smile

Ooh, good point. I'll try to remember that.
