In math a couple of days ago, a bunch of my friends and I were working on a packet and the teacher warned us that one of the answers was going to be "a weird fraction or messy decimal"...so we solve that problem and the answer turns out to be 19/23. the conversation following goes
K: Wow, that is a pretty random answer.
H: I can't believe that's the right answer. It's so mean! I mena, have you ever talked to him?
and so i'm wondering...would H possibly have syn? hmm...
It's possible - as usual, checking for consistency and involuntariness would help you work this out. Are you close enough to H to talk about syn directly? If not, there would be other ways of bringing up similar opportunities for your friend to make a comment.
