This is not a place to advertise.  I was just wondering if anyone has found the balance between advertising so much that it drives people away from your site and not advertising at all.  I think this is a hard balance to find.  I think it also depends on the site content and the types of ads.  What do you think?

I thought this was a good place to advertise lol

then again...forums scare people because most of them don't tolerate spam (mmk neither do I but at least I'm nice about it lol)

This is what I hate when Looking at a website:

1) pop-ups asking me to join their mailing list....why oh why must I get those!

2) those annoying videos with the man that made $20000000000000 in 12 minutes driving his freakin <insert expensive car here>

3) Sound of any kind.  Only thing I want to hear is my mouse.

I'm picky Smile

What I meant was that this specific topic wasn't started as an advertising topic Wink
Personally hate ads that are really big and flash a lot.  Or say YOU ARE THE 18609498th visitor to this site  YOU WIN!!!!  those just bug me.... Laughing
Google Adsense isn't to bad but it sometimes gets annoying how they are EVERYWHERE! Rolling Eyes
