From link referral
"The site took a bit long to load, and dont say ive got a crap computer . Few to many forums with not enough posts makes the forum look a bit empty. I would suggest different colors, maybe more interesting to make visitors stay, although i see you dont have a problem with members "
First off..I don't believe that for a second. If the page loads slow I have no control over that because (freepowerboards) hosts it. And I can say that you have a crap computer or else you would obviously see how good this site is!
k I'm done ranting. Website reviews annoy me when a douchebag like him comes along. _________________

I got off of Linkreferral and no longer want to be associated with them. They have too many people that don't know how to give reviews among other things. They tell you your site stinks but don't tell you how to fix it. They tell you great site and then give you nothing but 2's across the board. I'd rather stay here and the other two forums that I'm on. (Better People) _________________ www.springhillwebservices.com

I like Link Referral. I actually get quite a bit of traffic from this site. They recently added a feature where you can make those bad reviews private so that only you can see them. You can also respond to the reviews you receive. Another tip is to not give bad reviews. Most of the bad reviews I have received were in response to my review of their site. Even though I was trying, as I always do, to help them improve their site. I have also got some great advise from them on how to improve my site. As a matter of fact that is where I found this forum. _________________ Steven Ackerman Enterprises

Yes I know about making the reviews private (that has been around for a while) and I know about responding to reviews. My concern is that there is really no monitoring. You have websites in the wrong categories (there have been numerous hard core pornographic sites in the religous/education categories) using the link to report a miss category does absolutely nothing. You check back a week later and they are still there. You, as I said before get reviews like "Great site" and then you get with that review 2 across the board with no reason as to why, so that you can correct whatever is wrong. What was the bottom line was a review from a supposedly religous site, the review was on a young girls sports site. The site clearly states that it is the girls division but this person insists that we should borrow some little boys to put on our site because there are people out there that prefer looking at boys. The worst part is that as the webmaster on that site (email link on the bottom of thesite) he proceeded to email me with lewd suggestions. Reporting him did no good so I took my sites off and so did my clients.
If you are going to review a site, review it honestly and help the person improve the site. You do not have to be beligerant. If there is problem with the navigation, you can suggest way to fix it etc.
People have to remember that every site has great value and just like on this forum there has to be some sort of monitoring.
Have you ever tried to email the people at linkreferral site? _________________ www.springhillwebservices.com

There forums have issues with blatant spamming.
Same with reviews...If you are going to review my site..don't freakin steal my thunder and put your site in there with the review.
I stopped reviewing websites...I only review those who review mine..unless something happens to catch my eye
The point is...I only really do review other forums. Reason being...claiming splash pages or capture pages as your own creation is totally bogus. Nothing origional. It takes a lot of damn work to make a forum run (seriously..sometimes I go a lil crazy) But I'm not going to kiss someones ass just to give me a good review..on the other hand...I'm not going to be that great for someone who thinks that a capture page takes skill....sheesh _________________

| Link referral is handy, and I think each review is useful no matter how poor in quality it may be. I find that it is nice when someone takes the time, to view my website and write a review about it. I appreciate their comments. |
