Google Devalues Directories!
As many as 112 directories, so far have dropped in search rankings, or been removed from the Google index. Webpronews is saying as many as 500 directory owners have been hit. This has been going on for weeks proving that Google has begun targeting paid link directories in violation of the search engine's quality guidelines (link buying). Just one more thing for website owners to worry about after the already suspect paid link reporting form. I would recommend people change the paid links to nofollow if traffic from links is not substantial.
Google is not sending out notices in most cases or giving website owners answers to guidelines question. This is all about money and Google's need to monopolize link selling through Adwords. This is also another step in crushing seo companies, because natural optimization takes Adwords clients away from them. I believe this why they purchased a large www.seocompanyservices.com ">SEO Company several months ago, to study optimization techniques and how www.seocompanyservices.com ">Internet Marketing Services are used
So remember sponsored or advertising links should be clearly labeled the rel= "nofollow" attribute to the link. In other words do not pass on page rank. You can also use Javascript to direct the link or add to the meta tags.
