|
|
*New updated ranks [complete]*
I know that some of you may be confused on exactly how the rank system works here and what you must do to achieve certain ranks .
I hope the following will help you.
In this post I will list the Enlisted ranks through the commandant rank[General member] for you.
Each of these you can earn by posting and participation on the forum.
Because they are now posted The staff and I will be watching for members posting solely for the purpose of gaining rank and deleting unnecessary posts from the board.
Honestly folks just participate and your rank will increase there is no need to "Spam for rank"
Besides, If your postings and participation are consistent and of good quality chances are you will get promoted to higher ranks anyway so just participate the rest will go as it will.
See added comments at end of this post for further insight
Enlisted Ranks:At this point you are now a General member<welcome> and have not been here long enough to know what is going on or exactly what is expected therefore you are not going to be privy to certain information
and will not have a great deal of responsability, which comes with time and participation on the forum.
The more you participate and learn the higher your rank will go and you will earn more awards for your sig line.
0 [zero] poster =post required = none
no image is needed for this rank
Recruit = post required= 1
Private=post required = 25
E 1[Air Force] post required = 50
E 2 [USMC] post required = 75
E 3 [Army] post required 100
E 4 [Navy]post required = 125
E 5 [Air Force] required post = 150
E 6 [USMC] post required = 175
E 7 [Army] required post = 200
E 8 [Navy] required post = 225
E 9[a] [Air Force] required post = 230
E 9[b] [USMC] required post = 235
E 9[c] [Army] required post = 240
E 9[d] [Navy] required post = 245
Warrant officer ranks, Once you get to this point you should be well aware of what is and is not allowed.
You are expected to act accordingly and to help out the Junior ranks as much as you can.
The rank increases are farther apart now because if you've posted enough to get this high of ranking you have demonstrated that you are pretty dependable and I hope that you will continue to participate on the forum as you have in the past.We are continuing to honor each branch of the US military through revolving branch specific rank images.
Chief Warrant Officer [Army] required post = 1,000
WO 2 [USMC] required post = 2,000
WO 3 [Navy] required post = 3,000
WO 4 [Army] required post = 4,000
WO 5 [USMC] required post 5,000
These ranks are NOT service specific because many of the different branches use the same
ranks with the same title so these are more board specific and like the WO ranks the expectation of anyone achieving this high of a ranking will again increase because you certainly should be well aware of what is going on and how things work on the board.
You may or may not have been granted Moderator powers yet but if you have demonstrated strong leadership skills you may be approached soon with an invite to join the staff in some capacity soon.
2nd Lieutenant Post required = 7,000
1st Lieutenant = Post required = 9,000
Captain = post required : 11,000
Major = Post required: 13,000
Lieutenant Colonel = Post required: 15,000
Colonel [full bird] = post required: 17,000
Brigadier General = post required:19,000
Major General= post required:21,000
Lieutenant General = post required:23,000
General = post required:25,000
The next rank set is considered the "upper echelon" of the membership
You will at least be offered a seat at the Mod table once you achieve the rank of adjutant General expectations for any member with these high ranks are just as high and you may see an increase in requests from The Forum Commandant as well as the Board founder at this point.
Adjutant General[General member]= post required:75,000
NOT a "special rank" and does not necessarily imply that you have Mod powers but if you don't have Mod powers you may contact the Forum Lieutenant Commandant and request Mod powers if you desire to work with the staff The [forum] LT Commandant may at their discretion
pass your request up the chain of command for approval you will be notified of the final decision ASAP DO NOT continue to bug the staff you will receive an answer as soon as a decision is reached NOT before. Continued request will be grounds for denial and you will have to wait for another open seat when it becomes available or at you next rank increase
LT Commandant [General member]=posts required:80,000
Again NOT to be confused with the Forum LT Commandant which is achieved upon being recommended by the Forum Commandant and approved by the Board Founder Same terms apply as with the Adjutant General above
Commandant [General member]=posts required:100,000
At this point you should have Mod powers and probably appointed certain duties that you are expected to carry out while on the forum
To view all the "special ranks" and specific duties see the thread at the following link below,

Just a bit of added information to the above post.
From time to time the rank images may change as I find or create new ones.
The first images set for changing are those of LT Commandant [General member] as well as Commandant[General member]
At this point I'm using the same images for both General member ratings as well as the Forum ratings which by nature have more power and authority.
Than those of the General membership ratings. If you have not already please be sure to look over the above post for your rank information and feel free to discuss these if you feel you have any input to add.
Thank you,

Please note I have changed the Recruit rank image to a newly created one that I created last night to bring more of a military feel to the rank.
You can view the new image by scrolling up to the first post in this thread it is the first image you will see in the list of rank images.
Thank you,

Updated rank information.
If you have not already looked over the ranks list please do at your leisure.
But for those of you that have been around for a while I want to tell you about other rank images not covered in my original post and that you may not understand.
One of our newest members [wallyaug1] is an active duty Marine and his current Marine Corps ranking is E-7 or Gunnery Sergeant so though it has always been something I wanted to do we've never had any vets or active duty members that wanted to use their highest acheived ranking in their branch of service with the exception of Scottish Lady and afsp90_02 they used their actual military ranks as their ranks here.
I will allow this for active duty and vet members.
If you want to use your highest rank acheived in the military just tell me what that rank is/was and I will set you up.
Now understand your rank image will NOT change at certain post intervals as the normal board ranks will. your rank image will not change unless you ask me to change it for you.
If you are active duty in the military and you get a promotion to a higher rank let me know so that we can change it here as well. Our purpose is to honor our troops and I fully intend for that to happen I don't mind letting them use their military rank as their board rank image REGARDLESS of their time here or how many posts they might have posted. If the military says the've earned it then that is good enough for me.
Thank you all,
