Official Passing of the torch ceremony Doc McKelvie retiring  as Commandant afsp90_02 taking over Effective immediately, Doc McKelvie is retired from his position as Forum Commandant afsp90_02 will assume the role as your Commandant Unfortunately Doc's health continues to give him trouble to the point that he just cannot fulfill his duties and has decided it was time to pass the torch on to someone who is able to be here as the position requires. Because afsp has filled the requirements of a minimum of 6 months in the role of Executive Officer [XO] And the fact that he has seniority he has earned this promotion though I'm sure he will say this is NOT the way he wanted it Congrats afsp90_02!! You have earned your new position and I know you will serve in it with honor as you have done in your previous position as LT Commandant Doc has been a loyal staff member and a great friend to everyone that has known him. Doc IS retaining his membership but for the time being no longer holds a staff position on any level that way if and when he gets to the point that he can participate again he will be able to without all the requirements a staff position carries. I want EVERYBODY to not only congratulate afsp but also wish Doc the best for the future. Doc, We love ya buddy and we hope you are able to return someday and hang out with us once again. This thread is for Doc and afsp I'm NO "spotlight hog" I will tell you that there are changes to the LT Commandants rank as well as the SR Commandants rank. Changes I made quietly to better streamline our forum. Previous SR Commandants rank image: This one in my opinion was just too large so I've relaced it with the image below The new image you might recogize as an Officers EGA used by the United States Marine Corps to denote Officers from enlisted members. Previous LT Commandants image: This one was fine in regards to size but I felt it necessary to make it simmilar to the SR rank but with one major difference. The new LT rank image uses the enlisted EGA or Eagle Globe and Anchor as seen below Now this is NOT to suggest that the LT Commandant is any less important than the SR it just denotes a difference in responsability level that is all. Both positions carry admin status and they both have my ear so it is advisable to listen to what they tell you. They CAN but are NOT supposed to ban anyone without my authorization. If they do you can bet I will know why protocol was broken Why do I reserve the sole responsability for banning? I will answer that in another post. I just wanted to help you understand that we are NOT playing childish games here, this is serious business suporting our troops to think otherwise is foolish. That is all for this post I'm off to post other information for you to read. I've taken more space than I intended so back to the issue at hand.
