I haven't heard from him since he posted that he was leaving, but, though I wouldn't necessarily know what to look for, I have been keeping a close watch for troops that look the part. It's a pretty slim shot, but stranger things have happened.

THAT's for sure, Smitty - my son ran into a guy he went all the way thru school with before he moved to Cody (Johnny grad'ed in Cody) & hadn't seen this kid for about 4 years. When he was on R&R in Qatar they were doing the manifest, calling the names, & he called this kid's name & there he was!! They had a few beers together, returned to Baghdad then Johnny on to Mosul & that was that. Was so WEIRD!! And a gal I was strongly supporting ran into a school buddy at the Kid Rock concert! Neither knew the other was ove there. Was soo funny...

No, I've been deployed since August. Looking at hopefully coming home April or May if everything goes good. I won't tell, but he may see if he manages to pop in here.
