AP
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (Jan. 10) - After serving a year in Iraq , Army Reserve Spc. Patrick Rogalin came home and found that everything he had put in a storage locker - essentially everything he owned - had been sold.
For more info click link below.
Link removed by OS. Seems AOL has pulled the story I will see if I can locate an updaye on this soldier's situation

This really sucks, poor guy. To come back from war to find all your stuff gone, SOLD! There's got to be something legally he can do to recover his loss from the storage company.

Yeah, at least it wasn't his wife who sold all his stuff. One of the guys I deployed to the desert with last time came home to an empty house and his wife married to someone else. She sold all his stuff and pocketed the money, what a mess that was.

Yeah it is a bad situation for him for sure.
I cannot imagine the anxiety the troops deployed must feel daily.
I know what it is like being across the country hopeing everything would be normal when I got home in a couple of weeks but that was in country and not 12,000 miles away where you would be totaly helpless  to do anything on an immediate level.
nNot to be obtuse or anything but the good thing about this story is he only lost stuff that can be replaced in time.

He still has the breath in his lungs all the rest can be replaced.
I wish him all the best in this situation.

That poor poor man. After fighting for so long in Iran and then to come home and find this happen. Luckily he had a girlfriend who could help him.

I hope he sues the company and gets back the money that his belongings were worth and what it will cost to replace it all.

I know all of Johnny's CDs, DVDs, games, gaming unit (forget what he had by then...) and several other things that were in storage were gone. They are stored on base, who you going to sue? AND, he had a sgt. who went home early because his wife had been in a bad car accident so Johnny let him get his truck (brand new 4-door Dodge Ram) out of storage & use it, and he used it and abused it. He was REALLY feeling helpless. I got hold of somebody at the base & they finally got the keys back from the guy & it was re-stored. You really assume all your stuff is safe. Don't THINK so.... And yeah, he left some stuff - including his 2000 Toyota Tacoma with his g'frnd (a fellow paratrooper) and she was supposed to store other things too and they disappeared cause she broke up with him about 5 months after he left & got transferred to Germany. So that stuff is gone too.

yes, that is really wrong and I'm sure that the storage company will pay for that!
