Hold her hand, follow close
Let's jump into the night
While it wraps tightly
Around our fears
Running from our insomnia
Breaking free, never look back
Times of sleep, a bad mood
Never wanting to give in
Stopping for a moment
Appreciating nature's glow
Moonbeams light her way
A mirror waiting for a smile
She winks and runs along
Dawn is creeping up fast
Needing to find a place to hide
Before the sandman takes her.

I liked this a lot. I too am usually trying to fall asleep but my mind has other ideas. this reminds me of the run my mind makes every night trying to avoid sleep. while i see k it it is like a wicked game of tag. |
