Lemons, cool and firm
Lips puckering
Eyes becoming crossed
More sugar may be needed
For this particular
Lemonade

Her veins rush with such force
Pulsing faster with each second
Blood exchanged for citric acid
The sourest kind of them all

Once it enters your mouth
Harder and harder it is
To ignore her
Bitterest taste

Raining down your face
Acid rain
Trickling upon your tongue
Across those velvet lips

A sensation you'll never forget
Desiring for just one more drop
Remembering she was the taste
Of what you can't have

Insanity becomes of you
Where are all the shrinks
When your arms are buckled
In that pretty white jacket?

Your fixation was once supplied
Now taken away, you scream and beg
Wanting your maiden adorned in yellow
Just one more taste of her sour tonic.

Ok, muse, exactly what are "lemons" in this case?
