· Quote

Stating what's been done to her life
Memories blurred at the edges
Fading quickly into one another
She forgets what she started

Unable to remember what's important
While the pain floats close by
Allowing a feeling to blow through
Taking her breath away with it temporarily

Her words incoherently fall from her mouth
Catch them if you must, if you dare
Better to let them crash to the floor
To perish with the rest of the unknown

Walking beneath the gloom filling the sky
She lets the rain fall down gray
Over her head, shoulders and back
Stimulating her mind, mentally massaging

Watching the clock in the tower above
As it ticks the minutes by in slow motion
She trys to move the hands faster with her mind
Finding it an impossible feat to fathom

She can't escape from what's been done to her life
Behind an opened door she retreats to crying
Poisonous, clotted tears drain from her eyes
There she bleeds fluids of the oleander.

[*referrence being made to the oleander plant
because of it being quite poisonous - the
comparison with the pain 'she' feels and the
pain 'she' caused just as the oleander
plant can inflict such pain if one succumbs
to it.]
