Karaoke Night
Lights dim
as songs wail
from open hearts
Kind words and
warm friendships flow
like spirits in a glass
The dim room
glows with love
Cheers rise
with each new singer
Voices rise to greet each other
competing with the music
As silent movies play
an angel takes the stage
“Like a Prayer” rings on
and voices unite
in song and cheer
With “The Beat”
hands come together
as strangers and friends
unite as one
celebrating life
and each other.
