The Painted Picture
A frame of dark oak surrounds
-----A pale white canvas.
Little red specks of pain
-----Spiral around a vivid red pool.
Red tears of sorrow
-----Run from the pool leaving
----------A trail to mark their path.
A blue mist hangs over the painting
-----As saddened fans look on
----------With flushed, tear stained cheeks.
A black and bleak darkness
-----Shrouds the painting
----------And the red comes to life. _________________ All material original and ©copyrighted Diana Lynn DCC |

"Pain" works nicely in this context, it's so close to "paint!" _________________ "Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost" |

I LOVED THIS, Diana!!!!!
The beginning - the white canvas reminds me of a face. Vivid red pool reminds me the heart, while the red specks are spatter from it (as it hurts). The tears of sorrow running from the pool leaving it's trail - first thought in my mind was the heart bleeding out and running along the floor. The blue mist - tears of loved ones. Black and bleak - we all know to be death and the red coming to life because it's was the life force.
Ah who knows! I enjoyed this in MY mind though.
