Bruce Campbell is a movie actor, most well known for appearing in B-Movies, specifically the Evil Dead trilogy.  The most popular of those movies being the comic Army of Darkness.

His first book, an autobiography titled If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B-Movie Actor, is good on it's own merits, but if you're a fan of Campbell's it's pure gold.

Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way is his second book, a fictional novel about the mishaps he encounters when he takes a role in (an entirely made-up) Mike Nichols romantic comedy called 'Make Love.'

Unfortunately, the book just doesn't work.  The idea, I assume, is that the reader is supposed to be uncertain where the line between reality and fiction is.  There are certain elements of the book that are real.  The problem is that you can always tell exactly what is true and what is not, as Campbell indulges in his goofy slapstick humor a little  too much at times.

Still, the book isn't a complete loss.  It's full of illustrations, pictures, and captions that range from vaguely amusing to hilarious.  Occasionally Campbell's real voice shines through all the silly antics, and those moments, though fleeting, are worthy of attention.
