Okay, now it's beginning to look more and more like the refs in the NFL have come over from wrestling...

3:11 left in the first half.  McNair completes a pass to Williams, gain of 26 to the Cards 15.  Williams gets up drops the ball but spins it like a helicoter blade.  The announcers are ecstatic.  "Oh, that's a big no-no.  That's a delay of game for spiking the ball"..."Yes, that's right.  NFL Officials went to every training camp before the season started and explained this new rule so there would be no questions..."  Well, okay, it seems like a stretch calling it a spike, but a rule is a rule.  Then we go to the fourth quarter 3:13 left.  Warner pass to Boldin for 19 yards to the Ravens 28.  Boldin jumps ups and, you guessed it, helicopters the ball to the ground.  Was there a delay of game penalty on the Cards?  Of course not!  Just like in wrestling, the refs never see what the bad guys do.  And evidently neither do the announcers.  They didn't say a word.

1:13 left in the first half.  Cards punt to the Ravens.  Figurs runs it back 75 yards for a TD.  He runs through the end zone, drops the ball and jumps up on the wall behind the end zone.  Fans grab him, high fives all around, etc.  "Uh-oh, that's another thing the NFL officials warned everyone about when they went to every training camp.  No more jumping into the stands after touchdowns."  Ravens get slapped with a 15 yard unsportsman-like conduct penalty.  Well, okay but the Cheeseheads in Wisconsin are not going to like this rule.  No more "Lambeau leaps".  Now I know you're going to be shocked by this, but at halftime they showed the highlights from the Packers - Chargers game and sure enough, there's the "Lambeau Leap".  Checking the play-by-play for that game there's no evidence of any penalties after Packers touchdowns.  WTF, I guess the Packers training camp was missed by the NFL officials and they also forgot to notify the NFL officials covering the GB - SD game, but then they seem to miss a lot of things don't they.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's now completely obvious that the rules are enforced differently for certain teams.  They've even done it on back-to-back plays (see Bengals - Ravens week 1).  If the NFL denies it, they'll only look like they're covering up.  I'm not making these things up.  If anyone Tivo'd these games you can check it out.

BTW, the crew for this one wasn't Walt Coleman's.  It was some guy named Boger.
