I received this from a good buddy, Viking Ken...Ken, pipe in here!
The game against the Chiefs week 3 TE Shiancoe catches a Pass in the Endzone. Ruled incomplete. Rolls over onto the ball, Replay clearly shows ball didn't hit the ground. Had control of the ball. Vikings Challenge call, Call Stands, NO TD!!
Week 4 versues the Packers.
Ball thrown by Bret Favre, caught by the RB (I believe) then tackled, ball pops out & caught by a Vikings player. Running to the Endzone, play is blown Dead! Incomplete Pass was the ruling. It's my understanding that to make a catch, you have to establish possession (Last year you had to have two steps to be eligible as a catch). Vikings unable to challenge due to the ruling on the field!
No holding on the Packer Offensive line?
I figure it won't be the last time this season the Vikings get bent over so here is a Start!

Shiancoe upset by officials' calls
BY SEAN JENSEN

Visanthe Shiancoe is starting to feel like the officials are out to get
the Vikings.
A week after officials ruled an apparent touchdown catch by him in
Kansas City incomplete, Shiancoe lamented several other calls that went
against the Vikings on Sunday at the Metrodome against the Green Bay
Packers.
"There were a lot of key calls. I don't know what's going on. Last game,
this game," Shiancoe said. "Definitely, these calls can affect the
outcome of these games - the calls always seemed to go on the other
team's side.
"Maybe we need some horseshoes over here."
Against the Chiefs, Shiancoe caught what appeared to be an 8-yard
touchdown pass. But the officials ruled him down, and t hey upheld their
decision after coach Brad Childress challenged the play. Instead of a
14-0 lead, the Vikings settled for a 22-yard field goal that gave them a
10-0 lead. The Vikings lost 13-10.
"That could have changed a whole lot of things," Shiancoe said of the
touchdown that was called back. "That could have affected our morale.
The crowd may have been against them."
Sunday, Ed Hochuli and his crew were involved in a litany of
controversial calls.
On the Packers' first pass play, quarterback Brett Favre was intercepted
by safety Darren Sharper near the Vikings' end zone. But cornerback
Antoine Winfield was called for illegal contact more than 20 yards away
on receiver Donald Driver.
"I saw the ref throw the flag, and he ran up and said it was on me,"
Winfield said. "I asked him what I could have done. I had inside
leverage. I was in position. He said, 'Get out of the way.' "
In the fourth quarter, Fa vre flipped a pass to rookie fullback Korey
Hall. But Hall was drilled by Winfield, the ball popped up into the air,
and Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway recovered it. But the whistle was
blown, and the officials ruled the play an incompletion, not a catch and
fumble.
"They said he didn't get two feet down," Winfield said.
Childress tossed his challenge flag but the play had been whistled dead.
"I am not in the business of being a referee," Greenway said. "But as
far as on the field, it looked like he turned and made an offensive move
when Winfield hit him.
"It is frustrating because if it was a fumble, obviously it was going
our way and that would have changed the game a lot," Greenway said.
But Shiancoe and his teammates were adamant that receiver Bobby Wade
should have drawn a penalty on Packers cornerback Charles Woodson with a
little more than a minute left. Woodson appeared to hit Wade early and
safety Atari Bigby intercepted the ball.
In spite of the close losses, Vikings fullback Tony Richardson said his
team needs to figure out ways to overcome such calls.
"It's unfortunate. But you don't want to get into playing the
officiating game, because at the end of the day, you can't win those
games," Richardson said. "They got some calls out there that you hope
would go in your favor.
"But the thing about it is, good teams are able to overcome those calls,
and that's what we have to do. We have to find a way to overcome them." |

Well I've said what needed to be said. I'm going to keep a Notebook of EVERY Game I watch. Granted I watch more Viking Games than others, but I will be watching & recording as many Bad Calls as I can.
What needs to happen? Well let's Hope that Enough people raise a stink, that someone will finally take notice & Change will help correct these sort of things from happening in the Future!!
