Colts leading 21-14, under 3 minutes, the Raiders have the ball inside the Colts 20.  not once, but twice, Raider receiver Jerry Porter is interfered with on passes thrown his way, but no flag.  The first in the end zone was marginal and I can accept no flag.  The second was blatant interference near the 5 yard line on a 4th down pass.  Porters right arm was hooked.  Replay and the announcers confirmed it was a rotten non-call.

A typical example of why Raider fans like myself believe the league is biased against the Raiders.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Football_League#USFL_v._NFL :

[T]he USFL filed an antitrust lawsuit against the [NFL], claiming it had established a monopoly with respect to television broadcasting rights, and in some cases, to access of stadium venues. ... Each NFL franchise was named as a co-defendant, with the exception of the then-Los Angeles Raiders; Raiders owner Al Davis was a major witness for the USFL.

I wonder if there are any hard feelings left over.

I used to believe that the officials were bias against or for certain teams.  I even thought at times that they might have money on a game.  But I have concluded that they are just plain incompetent and that for some reason the NFL just does not care.

I definitely think Al Davis' numerous lawsuits and battles with the NFL has made him and the team a target.  Whether that carries over into officiating, I'll never know.  I don't believe there is some conspiracy against the Raiders, but I do believe the team is held to a stricter standard by the officials and the league.
