ok, while watching a game on NFL.net I once again had the pleasure of listening to bryant gumble.
OMG, he makes me want to throw up in my mouth.
He sure seems biased, and some announcers seem biased, and you know that, but they at least try and make it sound like they are unbiased.
I watched Gumble, and he would make a way bigger deal out of blown calls or close calls when they affected a certain team.  I then started to notice this pattern from other announcers.

I think at one point his brodcast partner Chris Collinsworth, stopped trying to even discuss situations with him, and actually would laugh in disbelief before he even tried to respond.

I am all good with being biased towards a certain teem, but not calling what you see, or a sure blown call for one team and not for another, that is a whole different situation.

Does anyone notice any other announcers that do this.

Yeah, all the time.  I'll post next time I note a specific example, but I can't tell you how many times I've seen announcers gloss over a blatant mistake or hesitate to criticize an official.  Some are very open, some obviously don't wish to bite the hand that feeds them.

Regarding Gumble specifically, I personally think he's one of the worse announcers out there.  I always enjoyed Mike Patrick, Joe Theismann, and Paul Maguire from the Sunday night games before the NFL network started broadcasting.  Not only were they a good broadcast team, but they never hesitated to point out stupidity on the part of officials, players, and coaches.  Probably one reason they weren't picked up by the NFL network.
