How did you get so good at colors, Hatter? Even if your line art isn't super stellar like some of the best, your coloring always puts it up and above some of the color jobs I've seen. You're especially good at doing low light scenes. Whenever I try to shade darkness, I just end up doing the equivalent of pouring black ink all over everything. Even my most clever (or what I think of as clever) ideas suck. I'd show some examples but I am usually so shame filled after I finish that I destroy my work.
Every time I try to color something, I pull a George W. You know when I mean well, have faith in what I'm doing is right, but ultimately screw it up? Yeah, that.

Well, like I've said before, I'm using openCanvas in conjunction with a Wacom drawing tablet (oC is pretty much useless without one), so any pointers I could give you would only be useful if you had a Wacom (which are expensive).
BUT, if you're feeling sassy and have about 300 bucks to spare, we can talk.
In the meantime, here's a nice site with a whole bunch of Photoshop tutorials, including, but not limited to, coloring tutorials. Maybe you'll be able to find something usefull there.

Hmm, who me? Uh, well, sort of. It's a bit difficult to explain since our school system is a bit different from yours. Let's just say it's like high-school level education, except it's not mandatory.
