You like to torture your readers don't you?!
I love pie, and hate cake. Just ask anyone who knows me. I just can't stand cake! Oooo! It makes me angry just thinking about it! Cake killed my father's, uncle's, cousin's, nephew's, daughter's, dog walker's, best friend's, hairdresser's, brother's, electrician, and I've sworn to get my revenge!
Pie is like a drug to me - especially cherry pie served cold with ice cream, but that is neither here nor there, nor is my insane meth addiction - and the more sacred the pie is, the more I crave it's delicious pie-ness.
I mean, there is a reason why SP is at the top of my favorites list.
Anyway, it is good to see some of the things we have been speculating (arguing) on for years be revealed so nonchalantly at a dinner table.
And since I'm a bigger man than god, I'll admit that I was wrong about this being the first time through. It's obviously so infinitesimal that I find myself losing interest in it altogether. Blarg. _________________ "You actually need a reason to have an orgy?" -Alex Roentgen

That's interesting. I too have a preference of pie before cake. I wonder if that has anything to do with my love of Sacred Pie? We should make a poll or something asking fans of SP what they enjoy eating the most, pie or cake.
Anyways, whenever Atlas admits to being wrong, it somehow feels to me like I was right.
We were given hints that this was how it worked earlier though (http://sacredpie.com/escape51.html). This means that we're not dealing with the Back to the Future school of timetravel, but more like that of the Butterfly Effect where any major (or minor) deviation in the timeline could snowball and have dramatic consequences.
Phil has also hinted (well, not really hinted as outright stated that) things already have gone differently from last time around.
So now, the only question is, what went wrong? Which mistakes were supposed to happen and which one's weren't? _________________ ...

Yeah, I found that whole discussion pretty interesting.
It must be hard to know that you can't do anything differently, even when you already know the outcome of the situation won't be as peachy as you want. |

I think I know. Bob being a werewolf. I don't think that was supposed to happen. Remember that there were no records of Traveler-Bob being a werewolf. I'm sure the lunar cycle of Mandarla would have caused him to change, and I think that the Traveler turning into a giant dog would get noticed by at least Koren, B-man, and Medlar. They were close too and knew Traveler-Bob. they'd have noticed the howling at least once.
I've thought about this very thing for a while, and it seems to me that everything except a few tiny things which I think don't really matter. As the Admiral said it has to be very close, but not perfect like their current conversation. Everything seems to fall neatly into place; the first chapter with Bob killing the Ambassador, breaking Rai out of jail, the thing with Sirmo, Rai killing the emperor, the thing with Maur, them going back in time and removing the helmet from earth, Bob killing the Bambolo, Bob being killed, them going into hell, Sid getting some sweet sweet Pie, them splitting up and ultimately being sent to Tundar, the Tournament, and possibly everything else. Everything seems to fit very neatly like a five year olds puzzle, except for Bob being bitten. _________________ "You actually need a reason to have an orgy?" -Alex Roentgen

One interesting thing to note is that the only reason they all got to Tundar is because of divine intervention. Only Roonas got caught by an actual bounty hunter; Sid and Bob got caught because of Angels. I wonder if this has some special significance. _________________ ...

Just because they didn't know about the Traveller being a warewolf doesn't mean he wasn't one.
Remember what the Admiral said -- they aren't allowed to know some things. If the Admiral that they are talking to now didn't know when he was Roonas, hanging out with Sid and Bob, then the Roonas, Sid, and Bob of now shouldn't be allowed to know. |

| How could they not know? Do people notice when you've changed your clothes? Of course. How about when you turn into a frickin' werewolf? All the time that Traveler-Bob spent with Koren, Medlar, Bahanyo etcetera, they had to have at least noticed something different. They may not have known he was Bob-Bob because of the helmet, but shifting into a giant fur ball is entirely different. |

True -- but that doesn't mean that the boys are supposed to know.
I would think that if Bob knew he was going to get bitten by a warewolf, it would have DRASTICALLY changed the way he acted on Tundar up to that point. That could very well be why Koren, Bahanyo, etc didn't think they should bring it up.
Besides, you'll notice they also didn't bring up the fact that Bob was the Traveller. I'd thik that would come up before him being a warewolf... |

He wore the helmet. Koren never takes hers off, why would Traveler-Bob?
That was me above also. _________________ "You actually need a reason to have an orgy?" -Alex Roentgen

I would suspect it would be to hide his identity to the rest of the galaxy. I think that there is only a very select few who are privy to the Traveller, Admiral, and Verdijer's true identities, so as to avoid having the boys learning about their future selves before the time was right, as well as keeping Lucifer in the dark about their true importance to the timeline.
Notice how both future Roonas and future Sid have exotic hero-escue names like Mujith and Verdijer? I'm sure future Bob has a similar alias as well. _________________ ...

| Atlas, they knew -- Remember, Bahonyo wasn't at all surprised to see that Bob was the Traveller...it seemed like the only thing he didn't know about that was where/when the Traveller went on his naming day. |
