Just wanted to come in and show some appreciation for what you do. Also, I'm really bad at this so forgive me if I'm overly awkward or ramble :P Anyway, I found your comic a bit ago and enjoyed it right away. The story is one of those fun compelling pieces that can draw you in with enough reality to ground you but have plenty of fantasy to make it interesting. Its one I'm definitely glad I stumbled upon. Keep up the awesome work, but don't feel bad if you need to take breaks or hold back a little because of life. Believe me, your biggest fans will always understand and be glad you are taking care of yourself. Ok, done sounding silly :P Long story short, awesome job, keep it up, take care of yourself! AWAY! *poof*
Sorry, I need one more week. I misjudged how much time I had left, was going to work on the comic over the holiday, and had an adventure in bad weather instead. I just posted about it on the main page, it just hasn't updated yet because I can't seem to log in to CG.

Thank you both.
There was a bit of a password hassle on my end, but that's all sorted out.

I'm very glad to hear that you are both feeling at least somewhat better, and I really hope that things continue to improve, especially health-wise.
Congratulations Narf, on becoming a moderator.
Best wishes and best of luck to you both.

The break has been very nice, and I've got sanity and creativity back. I'm not certain about my general health, but I'm working on getting a specialist doctor. I should be back as planned in September. Thanks for asking!
I'm going to set you up as a mod right now. If it's ever a hassle, just give me a heads up. Thank you very much.

Wondering how you're feeling.
Also, my stomach is feeling mostly better, so if you don't have a mod, I could give it a shot.

My brother was supposed to be modding, but the army's been moving him around lately so he hasn't had internet. Any volunteers?

You might want to consider appointing a mod to trim those spam.
I mean, not that you couldn't do it yourself, but CFS sounds worse than clinical depression and that's pretty bad itself.

I looked up the differences and skimmed through them. It seems the main difference is amount of time. My aunt's had her illness for much longer than six months (try 7 years), so it's CFS. She's getting better, though. A lot more good days than bad, and she feels better about traveling. ^^
Was today a good or a bad day for you?

From the research that I've done, the chances of recovery (or at least getting control of it to the point where you can live a normal life) are directly related to how long you have it before it's diagnosed. I had it for at least five years, probably much more than that, before I was properly diagnosed. I could be wrong of course, I'm still working on getting in to see a specialist, and my knowledge is limited.
There is a difference between Chronic Fatigue and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Do you know which one your Aunt has? I hope she's doing well! It sounds like she has the support of her family, that can make a big difference.
It's nice to hear from someone who knows what this is about. Most people I know only know what I tell them about it.

Sharm wrote:
I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and if I understand what I've learned about it, my case is moderately severe and my chances of getting much better are very slim. It's a bit like having a bad case of mono, insomnia, and then on top of it getting influenza over and over again with a few other random symptoms. This is the reason I only update once a week; I can only work on the strip when I'm having a good day. In April, all of my good days and most of my mediocre ones went into looking for housing. I tried to get the strip done anyway, but since I was overdoing it, I was making it worse, and it just didn't work. I am now no longer looking for housing, so I can start recovering now. I don't know how long it'll take to recover, I was really quite stupid about the whole thing.
My aunt has Chronic Fatigue, too. So I know, from seeing her on good and bad days, what it's like. :/
Judging by your "chances of getting better are very slim," you mean it's a permanent case, not just one that'll last for a few years and then disappear?
I know you said you can work on the comic without feeling worse, but if it ever does, I suggest taking a long break. Getting worse from stress, or anything else, isn't really worth it.
But I do love reading it and look forward to future updates. ^^
