I don't think blue eyes are terribly likely on this world. Dark brown is a dominant trait in eyes. The only way to get blue eyes is for both parents to have that genetic trait. Now, I believe Ten's dad had green-brown eyes and some other race in his ancestry, and his mom is a Pixie, and that's how he got his light green eyes.
I suppose I could have made up some long backstory to explain giving her blue eyes, but she's a side character, and I kinda like the brown. I could always have her discover contacts.
