Backlog is your best friend. It's also exceptionally hard to acquire once you start.
There will be days when the last thing you want to do is work on your comic. These times always come when you're out of backlog, and the next scene is one of the key ones that everyone's been anxiously awaiting.
Hallways never look good.
If you don't simplify your character design on purpose, it'll happen just cause you draw them so much. But if you do, it'll save you a lot of headache early on.
Web comic fans aren't a talkative bunch, so even if you have one that's tremendously popular, you'll never hear it from them. This is what stat counters are for. (For those of you who've been talking on this forum or sending me emails, these statements don't apply to you. Thank you for the support!)
They will certainly never say anything if you get them an extra comic or shiny new wallpaper, so just pretend that they're all extremely grateful and move on. You'll last longer.
Your most loyal and talkative fans will be other web comic artists, because they know what you're going through.
It's very important to do something besides your comic so that you don't burn out.
That glaringly obvious error you just drew in? No one will notice it. That insignificant one you didn't catch? Everyone will notice and tell you about it even after you fix it.
Your readers are not art critics, so stop fussing and just get it done. They do care if you don't post on time.
If you think it's obvious, it's not. If you think you've kept something a surprise, everyone knows.
No matter what sort of story you want to tell, your characters are the most important part, so don't be casual in their creation.
Life hates your web comic. Learn to expect what life throws at it so you can pretend you have consistency.
Just because people read your web comic doesn't mean they'll care about the other stuff you do. _________________

Also, take life with a smile.
Then, while life is wondering what you're happy about now, knock it out and take its candy.
Revenge is sweet.
...Scuse me, I'm on a cold and its 4:40 AM. I'm not that rational. _________________ "We are not jumping off this roof to our deaths!"

Yes, and I should know that. Because I've noticed that other webcomic forums are generally frequented by the same people, and for this comic, I am those pplz! |

Oh look, the first spam!
Isn't it just cute, sitting there so badly-written?... _________________ "We are not jumping off this roof to our deaths!"

4 and 5.
I suggest banning IPs. It got rid of the spam on my forum. _________________ "We are not jumping off this roof to our deaths!"

I program - My main project is a space strategy game, but right now I'm mostly doing concepting programs to learn stuff.
I'm also in the middle of learning html, so I can make a webpage that is good, instead of horribly plain and bad like the current one.
