I really didn't want to tell people about this, but I've missed so many days, you guys deserve to know what's going on. I'm not trying to complain, just letting you know what's up.
I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and if I understand what I've learned about it, my case is moderately severe and my chances of getting much better are very slim. It's a bit like having a bad case of mono, insomnia, and then on top of it getting influenza over and over again with a few other random symptoms. This is the reason I only update once a week; I can only work on the strip when I'm having a good day. In April, all of my good days and most of my mediocre ones went into looking for housing. I tried to get the strip done anyway, but since I was overdoing it, I was making it worse, and it just didn't work. I am now no longer looking for housing, so I can start recovering now. I don't know how long it'll take to recover, I was really quite stupid about the whole thing.
So, the reason why I was trying so hard is that I had the opportunity to get a place with my fellow comic artists Mystryl Shada and H.H.B. Bookmaster. Unfortunately due to a lot of things none of us could control, it all fell through, badly. We're going to try again in the fall, only this time we won't have the problems of time shortages and trying to find a place in Provo. (There are really only two types of housing in Provo. For students and for families. If you don't fit in those categories, good luck finding a place!)
I want you all to know that I'm very dedicated to this comic despite how things have been lately. I'm the sort of person who needs to accomplish or contribute something to feel like I'm a good person, and this comic allows me to do that without making my illness worse. Things will probably be slow a little while longer, but I'll keep working at it and hopefully soon we'll be back to normal. Thank you for sticking with me. _________________

Just wanted to come in and show some appreciation for what you do. Also, I'm really bad at this so forgive me if I'm overly awkward or ramble
Anyway, I found your comic a bit ago and enjoyed it right away. The story is one of those fun compelling pieces that can draw you in with enough reality to ground you but have plenty of fantasy to make it interesting. Its one I'm definitely glad I stumbled upon.
Keep up the awesome work, but don't feel bad if you need to take breaks or hold back a little because of life. Believe me, your biggest fans will always understand and be glad you are taking care of yourself.
Ok, done sounding silly Long story short, awesome job, keep it up, take care of yourself!
AWAY! *poof* |

You definitly have my sympathies and I can understand - I've got major depression and it's not fun. _________________ "We are not jumping off this roof to our deaths!"

We love you! feel better.
oh, and in the lack of new comics, I went back and read all the old ones. I'm thinking that it's a good thing that Ten didn't have any other magical party guests, because I'm betting that's how Crystal found him. I'm making the assumption that she has a highly developed magic sense, cause she keeps finding everything really easily. and it looks like finding is actually the power, which I don't think is the case, but it looks that way.
just incase you were wondering what conclusions your readers were jumping to...
that one was mine...
love you...

Sure, you can just pretend April didn't happen! As long as we don't have to go through The Sealed Gate withdrawal again in May. Love your comic! Need more! Is necessary! |

Sharm: You're making a great comic, so whatever the effects of your CFS on the comic schedule, there will be readers. Just carry on making them at whatever pace you manage.
Lolly: Unless I've misunderstood the implications of the talk Ten, Crystal and Tetra had about that, Crystal could point him out because she's a gate guardian (which is apparently something you just turn turn out to be, rather than something you have to train to be), and gate guardians naturally recognise other gate guardians. |

Eh, complicated question, one that I often try to avoid in real life. (Most people don't actually want to know.) Today seems to be a good day, which is very good because I have other people depending on me for things tonight. Overall though I seem to be worse, which is worrying. _________________

Ah. Well, then, go on hiatus.
I shall now read your other thread and probably recommend the same thing. |

My aunt has Chronic Fatigue, too. So I know, from seeing her on good and bad days, what it's like. :/
Judging by your "chances of getting better are very slim," you mean it's a permanent case, not just one that'll last for a few years and then disappear?
I know you said you can work on the comic without feeling worse, but if it ever does, I suggest taking a long break. Getting worse from stress, or anything else, isn't really worth it.
But I do love reading it and look forward to future updates. ^^ |

From the research that I've done, the chances of recovery (or at least getting control of it to the point where you can live a normal life) are directly related to how long you have it before it's diagnosed. I had it for at least five years, probably much more than that, before I was properly diagnosed. I could be wrong of course, I'm still working on getting in to see a specialist, and my knowledge is limited.
There is a difference between Chronic Fatigue and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Do you know which one your Aunt has? I hope she's doing well! It sounds like she has the support of her family, that can make a big difference.
It's nice to hear from someone who knows what this is about. Most people I know only know what I tell them about it. _________________

I looked up the differences and skimmed through them. It seems the main difference is amount of time. My aunt's had her illness for much longer than six months (try 7 years), so it's CFS. She's getting better, though. A lot more good days than bad, and she feels better about traveling. ^^
Was today a good or a bad day for you? |

You might want to consider appointing a mod to trim those spam.
I mean, not that you couldn't do it yourself, but CFS sounds worse than clinical depression and that's pretty bad itself. |

My brother was supposed to be modding, but the army's been moving him around lately so he hasn't had internet. Any volunteers? _________________
