Was this the episode that gave the idea for The Persuaders?.... I liked it. But I thought that Roger had more chemistry with Tony Curtis than the actor who played the Texas millionaire in The Exking of Diamonds.

I am afraid I can only agree with Kendall's comments on this. RM and TC were much better matched.

Another thing I could never quite get, lol - why do they love to portray Americans as such hillbillies in The Saint? Did you notice this? Like the older couple in "The Latin Touch" or in this episode, the woman at the casino and even the rich Texan, the Saint's ally in "The Ex-King Of Diamonds"?  :smt003 Other than that, I enjoyed this episode very much!  :smt001

Definitely more chemistry with Tony Curtis.

I also noticed that both shows featured a car race at the beginning, emphasising  the fact that there was rivalry going on between the two men. Roger won both times!

I enjoyed this one very much, but have to agree that even though the chemistry was good  between Simon and Rod Huston, it worked better with Tony Curtis.
