I wonder if you saw the same thing as I did when watching this episode?

I thought that Roper (LOl, every time I say his name, I remember Mr Roper from Three's Company  :smt003 ) had a strange blind fascination with the Saint, almost borderline...ahem...attraction. :smt047 :smt007 No matter what Simon's reputation was, and despite his other close colleagues suspicions of the Saint, Roper's attitude was that Templar could do no wrong. Maybe it's just my wicked imagination...

This is the one where Simon wears a kilt isn't it? Nice legs! :smt007

Yes I see what you mean about Roper  and Simon. I think that he admired The Saint's reputation, and was so pleased with himself for getting him "on his team" that he elevated him above the others, in an effort to not lose face.

I enjoyed this episode, good story.

heehee. I never thought legs were Roger's better physical attributes.  :smt002 In some shows they look better than in others. I remember him wearing a gladiator's suit in The Man Who Liked Lions, and he looked very good. Then I recall a Persuaders episode "Greensleeves" where a picture of him was shown with a kilt and he didn't look as good. All in all, I think a kilt would make most men look strange. guys are just not born to wear skirts.  :smt003

I wonder if Roger stuck to the "rules" when he wore that kilt in The Saint and ahem, you know ...? :smt003

I live not too far from the Scottish borders, and have seen how dashing a kilt makes a man look, especially if he is also wearing the full regalia.

Though  I once went to  see a local amateur dramatics  production of "Brigadoon"  in the town where I live, and the sight of lots of over the hill men wearing scrawny kilts that were far too short for them  will live with me forever! :smt003
