I did love all the family members he played. Especially Aunt Agatha.

This is my favourite episode. A very funny one, and I loved all of the family members Roger played, especially Aunt Agatha. It was great to see him re-united with Ivor Dean again, who was the undertaker.

Did you notice that Roger's house was used in this episode?

Here's some pics from Roger's home that was used in "A Death In The Family." It's in Denham, Buckinghamshire, just outside London. Isn't it beautiful! I read that Roger was heartbroken when he finally sold it.

Just had to include "Aunt Agatha" from the same episode. I thought Roger made a pretty convincing woman. :smt003

He got Aunt Agatha just right too, even down to the voice. Loved the part where Ivor Dean (Inspector Teal) who played the funeral director, was eyeing Brett as maybe the next victim. Very funny!

The house looks very impressive, very old English. I noticed that RM did a lot of personal things with The Persuaders, like using his son's picture for the (&^%, his daughter appeared in an episode, he used a photo of his family in "Greensleeves", and then his home in this episode...Anything else I forgot to mention? :smt017 :smt003

Love Roger's former house, it's very grand looking. I read he also had a tennis court there too.

"A Death In The Family" is definitely one of the best stories. Lots of comedy.

Come to think of it now I look at the picture of the house it looks familiar. I have a book written by Paul Donovan about Roger and there is a picture of Luisa in this book, standing outside the very same house. Wonderful house. :smt007
