This has got to be one of my favourite episodes of The Persuaders! Maybe I am just partial to old homes in need of restoration.  :smt002 But I could really understand Danny for being so excited about the old cottage, and it made me want to jump in and help. Brought lots of memories of us restoring the old Victorian we had at one time, too.  :smt016

I also thought that this episode had a lot of suspense, but once again I wished for Brett to snap out of it. I notice this about Roger's character in The Persuaders quite often, - he doesn't take Danny's predicament seriously after Danny tells him about the corpse in the well, and allows his friend to fend for himself. If it wasn't for the girl shaking Brett up to action at the bar, Danny could have easily been killed. Do you ever get the feeling that sometimes Brett is slow at responding to certain situations?

This one was very much played for laughs, and demonstrated once again how  well Roger and Tony bounced off each other.

Nice to see Hannah Gordon in the female lead. She has played many  tv roles over the years, both comedy and drama.

Just when Danny and Brett had caught the crooks that had been using Danny's run down old house as a base for making counterfeit money, and the house was now beautifully decorated, Danny decided to hang the last picture on the wall. (last pic). Just as he hits the nail into the wall, a massive crack appears, and the ceiling falls in around them. :smt003

Thanks amber, wow wasn't Roger's hair long in that show? He got to play James Bond just after "The Persuaders" and I did prefer his new look for the first Bond - he lost weight and had a neater haircut, and IMHO he looked younger too. :smt007
