If you can think of one song that means a lot to you or just your all time favourite, what would it be?

Mine is "What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life?" I heard it first in the movie "The Happy Ending" with Jean Simmons and John Forsythe and found it very touching, the words, the melody and how it fit into the movie. But then I heard it done by many artists, including instrumentals, and it really became my favourite song.

How about you?  :smt003

Difficult one! I'm a big music lover and lots of songs have a profound effect on me. There's one though that stands out from the rest. The words are really awesome, and it is sung with such passion. Whitney Houston - "The Greatest Love Of All." Love it!

Simple Minds were an 80's group, am I right?

I tried to answer the question , but there is just too much out there that I admire or means so much to me to be able to definitively describe as my all time favourite.

I find 'The Impossible Dream', the Andy Williams version, particularly moving however.

On a different tack, I'm going through a bit of a Jefferson Airplane phase at the moment.

Good tune Cuffy, I have 'The Impossible Dream' by R. Goulet and Sammy Davis Jr.  Will have to listen to Andy's version.

I love so much music and have a vast collection it's practically impossible to name just one favorite.  I guess I could break it down by seasons...

Winter: White Christmas - Bing Crosby
Summer: Summertime - The Platters
Spring: That Happy Feeling - Bert Kaempfert
Autumn: Autumn Leaves - Roger Williams
