Speaking of cars, this little article is from: motoring.reuters.co.uk and it is about the email that Roger Moore wrote to Reuters about the relationship The Persuaders team had with Range Rover who supplied the show with some of its cars:
Sir Roger Moore Comments
Thu 12 Oct, 2006
We were surprised and delighted to receive an email from Sir Roger Moore yesterday.
He was commenting on our story on Tuesday about cars in films, and that Land Rover had refused to give a car for the TV series, The Persauders. He asked us to point out that, "We did in fact have a very good relationship with Range Rover and they did supply cars".
However, someone at the TV company clearly was not as enamoured with Land Rover. In a contemporary article from Car Magazine, September 1971, the situation was described thus: "...the best Pinewood and ATV could do with all their influence was to borrow just one Range Rover to shoot one episode. They wanted two for a longer period. Even the publicity of a full network release...failed to influence the people from Solihull."

and they suited the characters personalities, I agree. The part I didn't like about Brett's car was the lisense plate - so not original with BS1 obviously stollen from Simon Templar's Volovo in The Saint. ST1 sounded a lot better. lol every time I saw the lisense plate of Brett's car, it couldnt help but bring up a certain naughty association in my mind, if you know what I mean
