Acting veteran SIR ROGER MOORE has issued a plea for a "caring" buyer to come forward and save London's world famous Elstree Film Studios.
The famous studios - where STAR WARS and the INDIANA JONES trilogy were shot - have been put up for sale by Hertsmere Borough Council, and a large cash injection is required to return Elstree to its former glory.
Former JAMES BOND Moore - who filmed 118 episodes of his iconic TV series THE SAINT at Elstree - says, "Hertsmere Council extended it a lifeline when it needed it most, and invested heavily.
"Now that they are seeking to pass on the ownership, I hope that an equally passionate and caring owner can be found, and help take the studio into one of the most exciting periods of film and new media production."
