Deborah Moore in TV Ad Anniversary

Postby Amber on Thu Nov 30, 2006 9:00 pm

Deborah Moore appeared regularly in a series of TV ads several years ago,  for an insurance company called "Scottish Widows." In the ads she would be shown striding confidentally around a large deserted house at night, wearing a long dark cloak, a storm taking place outside. It was all very dramatic! It was sad when she was replaced by another actress, because IMHO she was much better.

This article appeared in "Easier Finance."

"Deborah Moore, Amanda Lamb and Hayley Hunt celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic Scottish Widow.

On the 28th November 2006, Scottish Widows held an exclusive event in Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the iconic Widow.

As part of the celebrations - in a surprise and unprecedented move that delighted the guests - all three Widows appeared together for the first time.

Deborah Moore, daughter of Roger Moore and the first ever Scottish Widow, TV presenter Amanda Lamb, and Hayley Hunt, the new Widow, dramatically entered the party in full black cloaks.

Archie Kane, Chief Executive of Scottish Widows commented: "The image of the Widow is one of the most recognisable icons in advertising history. We are proud that it represents the Scottish Widows brand and are thrilled that Deborah, Amanda and Hayley, who have each portrayed the iconic image, could be present tonight to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Widow".

Deborah is pictured on the left.

Thanks for the pic Plantegent. Doesn't Deborah look like her father?

I missed this show when it was recently aired here, hopefully it might be repeated some time. I would have liked to have caught  Deborah's performance.
