I have many! The Santa Clause trillogy would put you in a holiday spirit. Home Alone is funny. The original two movies, not the new remakes. Elf is hilarious. Any Christmas movie as long as it's not depressing.
"Elf" was shown on tv here recently, I'd never seen it before, and decided to watch it. It was so funny I was laughing out loud.
Another movie to get me into the Christmas spirit is "Scrooge" It is an excellent musical version of Charles Dickens story "A Christmas Carol." It's very sentimental, the songs are great, and it has a happy ending.
"Polar Express" is another favourite plus "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas."
Amber, are you referring to the animated "Grinch" or the movie with Jim Carrey? I LOVE "The Polar Express" and "Meet Me In St.Louis". But yeah i agree nothing depresing during the holidays :smt002
Hi Kendall, the version I saw was the one with Jim Carey. Oops! Just realised it's actually called "How The Grinch Stole Christmas."
"Meet Me In St. Louis" is often shown on tv here, and especially at Christmas. The song from the movie - "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" is great too.
Another favourite of mine is "The Nutcracker." I adore ballet, and this particular one has a strong Christmas theme. The music, the story, everything I love. This too is usually shown on tv around this time.
My favorite Christmas movies are Scrooged (1988) with Bill Murray. National Lampoon Christmas vacation (1989) with Chevy Chase and a Christmas story (1983)
The firs home alone was good too. I never saw Elf (2003) and it's a wonderfull life (1946). But I will definitely try to watch them soon !

My fav song from that movie is "The Boy Next Door".
"Scrooged" was a neat movie,a little spooky. As I recall, the same older actress who played a homeless woman, was Momma in "Throw Momma From the Train." :smt017
