There is one thing that piqued my curiosity in this episode - the music. Very 1960's.  :smt003 Close to the beginning there's a tune which I heard on The Benny Hill Show a few times. And later on two songs:

"Out To Get You" by Chris Andrews

and

"You Won't See Me No More" by Gary Osborne

Both songs are rather simple but have catchy tunes, though the female character on the show doesn't sing them all the way through. I am wondering if anyone knows more about these two songs. Were they done strictly for the episode, or were they popular in England at that time? Did the actress in the episode sing them herself? Thanks for the info!  :smt001

As far as I know the actress didn't sing the songs herself. I did recognise the voice though. In the 60's a singer/actress called Grazina Frame was used  as the singing voice in lots of tv shows and a couple of movies. I think it was her voice in that particular episode.

I don't think the songs were hits, most probably composed especially for the show.

I did notice the "baddie" was played by an actor who used to be in the popular comedy show "Are You Being Served." Good to see him in a serious role.

Thank you for this info, Amber!  :smt008 I am wondering if these songs ever came out on a CD and available to get?

You mentioned that the actor who played the baddie later on appeared on "Are You Being Served", I used to watch the show, but don't recall him, do you remember which character he played?  :smt017

The actor who played the baddie in that episode (Johnny Fox) was Trevor Bannister.

In "Are You Being Served" he was Mr. Lucas, and worked in the men's department of the store. He was the character who was forever teasing Mrs Slocombe.
