Book about James Bond

Postby Connie on Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:40 pm

I've just borrowed a book from the local library, "For My Eyes Only" by John Glen director of some of Roger's later  Bond movies.

It's a very enjoyable read, with a foreword written by Roger. The book contains lots of background information and behind the scenes dramas  that went on in the making of the movies. John Glen also worked on "Gold" and "Shout at the Devil" which he talks about too.

It came as no surprise to learn that Roger was so well liked by everyone, easy to work with and always ready to help other actors while filming.

I enjoyed reading this book too Connie. John Glen writes about the many different movies he has worked on, and goes into detail regarding the dramas that took place behind the scenes. Here's some pics from the book:

I have seen the pic with Crole Bouquet, but all others are new. The actress who played Margaret Thatcher looked so much like the lady PM! Roger's skin is quite tan in the picture with her, it even shows on bl&w.
