Not much time Ryan! I have been very busy with work and PAL. I am hoping to get PAL set up as a great facility for our buggies. _________________ Randy

Welcome aboard...
We've been trying to meet once a month. This month, June, we don't have a place to go, but then again, the national meet is at the end of the month and there are a lot of vacations.
What are the chances of dropping by your facility on June 29th and/or June 30th?
Shoot me a PM.
It's a long shot that anyone would be able to go, but it may be worth a try.
Again, welcome and we'd love to see you and your clan at EMR in August.

ha ha.... my little POC cost me 45 bux to fill, and will last about 330 miles + or - 10 in traffic.... The last two fords that I drove for work cost 75+ to fill, and lasted about 250.... On top of that, they broke more often than any two toyotas I have ever had!!!
SO..... AS I said.... I havent tried it yet, but I'll see if I can get the buggy in there, and still kick any fords @$$ down the parkway and back....lol.... Oh yeah.... I spanked a f-250 last week on rt 46 in dover....traffic light to traffic light, the guy reved his superduty and I smiled at him.... We took off at green (he actually jumped), and I spanked him by almost three truck lengths!!!! I wonder how much deisel that cost him!!! lol

I put my Ford up against your Toy... We'll it depends on which one I had. The '97 isn't doing so well right now, but the '03 and '06 are good. That '06 is a great truck....

What would you like to pput it up against??? 0-60? weight/tow capacity ratio? MPG? cost to own over 3 years? resale value? maintenance???
lol... I owned a ford f-150 5.4 for two years. I traded it in for the explorer sport, thinking it was a great deal, and would get better mileage....boy was I wrong! The f-150 could haul better, but got horrible mileage... PLUS, the evap system had major issues when I traded it in... The the lil exploder had nothing but issues... transmission went at 15000 miles, timing chain tensioners went at 21K, coil pack at 35K and at 80K, nuther trans at 80 K when the coil pack went, trans wouldnt shift past third... rear started slipping, rear springs were cracked, shocks were blown at about 75-80K, so instead of replacing every part under the back of the truck, I drained the rear diff, put in the luca synthetic gear oil, left the leaf springs alone, put in monroe air lift shocks and helper springs... that was just to get it to ride even.... I completely regretted trading in the ford for another ford... I wish I had a toyota long ago!
My toyota now has already had two oil changes....I am at almost 6K, NO issues to date, knock on wood... Oil changes are the easiest in the world... The oil filter is on top of the engine, and the drain plug sticlks out so you dont need to crawl all over... I get free 10K service and 20K service, full bumper to bumper coverage for 60 months, and it still cost less than a ford ranger comparably equipped.
I hate ford, and will never buy again from that company.... Toyota has given me a million reasons to buy, and ford has only offered me reasons to tell everyone else about toyota!!
I never owned a diesle, but then again, i cant spell DIESEL either, HA HA HA-Ryan they cost waaaaaay too much just for stuff I dont need!! I will never tow more than 5K lbs, and I dont think I should have to listen to the engine the entire ride, no matter how loud my stereo is! I cant stand that... I know it is just the nature of the beast, but for what I do with a pick-up, no american company can compete! I test drove the colorado, the ranger, the dakota, the silverado 1500 and tundra, as well as a trailblazer and an FJ cruiser... Out of all of them, the pick-up seemed most practical, and when I did a search on yahoo and google motors, both said re-sale values were higher with toyota, as well as MPG's, overall customer satisfaction, and capability... Ford ranger was dead last.... Go figure!
If I wanted a big hauler, I woulda got the tundra or the chevy 2500 duramax....but again, I am not rich...actually...I am far from it... so along the lines of econo-box hauling, with comfort, agility, speed, and quality....toy got em all beat!
Oh and by the way.... END HIJACK.... BACK TO PAL!!!!

I wouldn't want to take your money... After all you are just a kid. Hey, I've had both and both of them have pluses and minuses. My Toyota ran forever and could haul up to a point. The Ford's we use at work just don't break. We put ~65,000 miles a year on them. They pull our testing trailers and people with no problems. If I had to own a truck of my own I'd get another Toyota.
Keep your cash in your pocket. You'll need it..

2002 Dodge Dakota Sport. Buggy fits in the back perfect, and the gas mileage isn't bad for a pickup. It's good for the trips to Home Depot also. _________________ Dune 150: 9.5 gram rollers,1500 spring, hp cam, hp coil, uni filter, 39t sprocket, modded exhaust, 138 jet, 21" holeshot up front, 22" gators in rear. |
