Same here. I've gotten really into doom in in the last couple of weeks. I prefer the more epic sounding bands with (mostly) clean vocal. I really love bands like On Thorns I Lay (early albums), Adagio (the Brazilian one), Pyogenesis (early albums) and Crematory (early albums). Actually, I like most Death / Doom bands. There's only one Death / Doom band I do not like a lot and that's Supuration. They're too weird for me. Except from Death / Doom I also like a lot of Epic Doom bands like Passage and Scald (especially, Scald). Yeah, I agree with you. I'm a bass player my self, and Stoner Metal has some of the best bass in Heavy Metal.
