This is Slipknot's first cd since Vol.3: (The Subliminal Verses) back in 2004. The album wasn't as heavy as I expected, but are some of their best songs. Some of the songs are Stone Sour-ish, but they are experimenting. Which is a good thing. All hope is Gone show maturity. People will love this album and people will hate it, thats what makes it so great. The first two singles released was All hope is Gone and Psychosocial. The songs are good, but not the best songs from the cd. My personal favorites would be Wherein Lies Continue and Dead Memories. Overall, I think you should get this if you are a Slipknot fan.
Recommends:
Wherein Lies Continue
Dead Memories
This Cold Black
Gematria (The Killing Name)
As rude as this may be, Slipknot fucking sucks no matter what. Ahah, my metal thread on another forum - almost everyone on there is fervently anti-Slipknot. Good times.
So I guess my opinion of this album is in the first sentance there. _________________ NU-MOD
Raven, it's nice to see people reviewing. Perhaps, to get a stronger inspiration on reviewing, you should visit www.metal-archives.com, look up a band you like, check out an album, and see how different people reviewed things and emulate the review style you like best, to some extent. You need to be less vague, as the terminology you used can apply to lots of things. _________________ I just want to eat your brains.
Ha, I actually prefer their older stuff. But that's me. _________________ *also known as whoisthat at ML*

I don't know about other people but I think a review should be centered around describing the music. To be honest I think your review could use some talk about what the music is actually like.
