I've been a huge fan of RPG's or (Role Playing Games) for a long time. Ever since I played Final Fantasy VII way back on the Playstation I've been hooked. Everything from the intriguing villians, sometimes anime styled art, in depth character development, and galvanizing storylines. They almost feel movies at times. What are you feelings on them?
Some of my favorites:
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy X
Persona 3
Star Ocean 2nd Story (Currently Replaying)
Shadow Hearts
Chrono Cross
Secret of Mana |

Paper Mario and Paper Mario 2
Pokemon
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Star Wars KOTOR 2

Yeah I don't blame you for not liking Final Fantasy VII. It is extremely overrated. But it did really give RPG's a lot of mainstream recognition. |

I know it bought RPG's into the limelight but the way fanboys insist its the greatest gift to man is stupid.
The main villain isn't even that good as well. _________________ Signature edited by InfernoNecrosis: remember kids, images were against the rules officially as of September 6th, 2008, and I sent you all an email about this. |

Yeah it can get rather sickening at times. Honestly I don't think I even like Final Fantasy games as much as I use to. After playing so many other RPG's series there are so many that are just as good or if not better. |

Legend of Dragoon and Legend of Legaia. That is all. Those were a big part of my childhood |
Legend of Dragoon was awesome. I don't understand why all the RPG sites rated it so low. I mean sure they took a few things from Final Fantasy VII but then again who hasn't. At any rate it was a great game and more people should definitely play it. I wish they'd make a sequel or something. As far as Legend of Legaia goes that was another great game. Have you played the sequel Legaia 2: Duel Saga? I personally didn't like it as much as the original Legend of Legaia but I still thought it was pretty good. |

Yea, I own duel saga. I don't know, personally I really liked it, and how much they incorporated Native spirituality into the game. Basically, in the game, they were the equivalent of Shamans. Study Native spirituality and the game will have that much more value to you _________________ I just want to eat your brains. |

Are those PC RPG's? I only play console RPG's but I've never heard of those games. |

PC RPG's. I prefer old school RPG's to console RPG's. I've always thought of Console RPG's to be watered down and boring. The stories always seem to be too linear. When I play a game, I look for moral involvment, memorable characters with almost human personalities.
I have an Xbox 360, and if there are some good RPG's for it, (other than Oblivion, which is basically a watered down Morrowing, and other than Two Worlds, which is a mix of gothic and oblivion, but better than both), then tell me of some. I played Lost Odyssey but it didn't have the freedom I look for in an RPG. _________________ My Facebook, My Youtube, My Last.FM, My Blog |

Only PC RPG I have played is KOTOR 2.
Going Dark Side is epic as you get to force lightning creatures and the legendary HK-47 is at his funniest. _________________ Signature edited by InfernoNecrosis: remember kids, images were against the rules officially as of September 6th, 2008, and I sent you all an email about this. |

Which was good.
I don't like wandering around huge worlds with no clue as to where I am supposed to be going.
Its a waste of time. _________________ Signature edited by InfernoNecrosis: remember kids, images were against the rules officially as of September 6th, 2008, and I sent you all an email about this. |

In my opinion it adds a bit of realism and exploration, but everyone has their own opinions.
Like, in Morrowing, the cities were huge, you could barge into anyone's house, kill anyone you want. Every NPC in the game was relavant in one way or another (keep in mind that there were like 20 cities each with a 10-15 NPC's). In console RPG's, everything seems too much story based. There isn't a sense of freedom. But then again I haven't played too many console RPG's. _________________ My Facebook, My Youtube, My Last.FM, My Blog |
