Behemoth is my favorite Death Metal band. Though I'm not really a fan of their early Black Metal stuff. I mean it's not bad but once they released Satanica I think that's when they really started to become awesome. It's really hard for me to say what my favorite album is because I like so many. I guess I'll go Demigod because Conquer All and Slaves Shall Serve. Smile

Their black metal stuff sucks. I listened to some tracks from their early demos and such, and at first I thought that everyone was involved in this mass amount of sarcasm, much like Manowar - a sort of meme or sick joke that I had not been told about -, but I guess some people were serious, unfortunately.

Their death metal stuff (Demigod and The Apostasy) aren't too special, or good to me either, save a few scattered songs like ''Conquer All''.

But  Twisted Evil Their mid-era stuff like Zos Kia Cultus...fuck yeah! Good stuff, good stuff.

Still, I'm a little baffled as to why they got as popular as they did. I guess it's a big surprising to me.

Yeah they seem pretty popular these days. Every serious metal fan knows of them it seems. Zoa Kia Cultus is awesome. As Above and So Below and the title track Zos Kia Cultus amazing. I don't know why they became so popular either. I know once Inferno became their drummer they really started to take off.

Behemoth isn't much of an acessible band ahah. I've always seen Nile as their, sort of, counterpart. It's hard for me to think of Behemoth and not think of Nile either. Maybe because of Ozzfest a year or two ago. The difference is, Nile sucks while Behemoth doesn't. Ahah. A bit random of me but yeah.

Usually when I think of Behemoth I always think of Belphegor.

That band has the best drummer.
I've listened to their music for a long time, but it was only recently that I really started getting into it. One of my favourite bands now!
And...I love Nile.

Behemoth, Belphegor, and Nile all do that middle eastern(ish) guitar stuff.

I love Behemoth, first death metal band I ever listened to.
The last three albums are my favorites, though I like the three before that as well.
Never heard anything before Pandemonic Incantations.
I should add that they are amazing live, Nergal and Orion are excellent on stage, they put on quite a show.  Very Happy

Edited for error corrections
Actually, Behemoth was my second death metal band. Goatwhore was my first.
