Exilia is an Italian Nu Metal band that combines elements of Grunge, and Hard Rock. I actually think they're pretty decent compared to a lot of the Nu Metal bands in the US. I guess the vocalist is what does it for me. Anybody here like them?
Here are some videos if you've never heard of them:
It was very good and enjoyable. I was very happy to be interested in a new nu band until that...thing...started singing. At first it was alright but auughh, seriously? That's just intolerable.
Melancholia...I've observed some strange things, ahahah. With this vocalist being a woman, are you attracted to the band because of that? It seems a lot of female metalheads are into female-fronted metal bands - and female-fronted bands in general -; and this is I don't quite understand, especially when a lot of those female-fronted bands, well...suck. I don't mean to sound like a douchebag, but seriously now?
(for future reference I'm also a female metalhead) _________________ NU-MOD

Not necessarily. I guess it's just a refreshing change at least with that style of music. Though I do tend to favor female vocalists over male vocalists in general. But if I like the music and the vocalist happens to be male I don't care.
Ah, sorry. It just seemed very, uhm...feminist, perhaps? Personally, I think the opposite: clean male vocals are just so good. I guess I'm just sick of the female voice. There are also quite a lot of metal and even non-metal bands with female members, so it's not a new concept. _________________ NU-MOD

I don't really think it's feminist. I listen to a lot of Black Metal and Death Metal? They all have male vocalists too with the exception of a few. So I mean I don't think of it as feminist at all just a preference. Like for example when it comes to Gothic Metal I prefer female vocalists. But if they can get the job done and I like the music it doesn't matter.
THis band is terrible. Once I almost bought their album without listening only coz they have female singer. But I thought, wait, I can listen to them before I buy so I did it and was shocked by their low level.
