So, any opinions on the band? I personally fucking love them and was curious to see if any other fans were here. My favorite song by them is Rude Mood. Awesome, catchy stuff. Damn shame he died.

Also, I'm requesting any bands that are similar to Stevie Ray Vaughan. I can't really get more specific, because SRV is the only band of this genre that I know.

Any other comments?

I'm a fan.  I remember when I first heard his music back in 7th grade, on the radio in my science teacher's class before class would begin.  I never thought to ask who that was, so I never could figure it out.  It wasn't until...  I'd say like 10 years later that I found out who he was by googling some lyrics that I heard when in a Moe's Southwestern Grill.  When that happened, I found out who it was and immediately went to buy some cds.  I can say that it was well worth it, as I enjoy it very much.

It -is- sad that he died.

Uh...  I know he was pretty close friends with Eric Clapton.  I'd check out blues rock or something along those lines to find more things under similar genres.  You could also use last.fm to find similar bands [as it seems to do fairly well with that].

All in all, I'm happy with the stuff SRV made, and will forever be a fan.

Hm, I inherited one of his albums on LP. Itīs okay. Itīs not one of those things that I will have to buy extra copies of because I wear out the original ones (yup, itīs true, I tend to do this), but itīs still a decent record.

I enjoy his work.  Couldn't Stand The Weather is a damn good piece of song, in my opinion.

And for something similar to SRV, I'd say KWS, Kenny Wayne Sheppard.
