So we recommend J-Rock bands, huh? :3

Well here are some of my recommendations:
Merry
Galneryus
9GOATS BLACKOUT
BUCK-TICK

I won't bother saying Dir en grey or X Japan 'cause they've been recommended already xD

Yeah people pretty much already know about them already. Some other good recommendations would probably be Penicillin and Sigh. I'm glad you mentioned BUCK TICK they seem to be forgotten by a lot of people. Sad

Guys, you shouldn't be just listing... describe each band a bit so the users will know what they're getting into Razz

My friend is really into this band called Versailles. The Archives has them but I've also seen them described as rock too, soooo...Personally, I haven't listened to them but they're one of those cute little visual-kei bands. Symphonic visual-kei. Weird. Yeah.

You have a point there... thus I shall describe the bands I earlier recommended Very Happy

Merry is well... umm somekind blues-, jazzrock thingie. They're not visual kei but eroguro kei. Merrys music won't fit everyones ear but I love it x3

Galneryus is one of the best things japan has to offer, imo. They're neo-classical power metal band led by Syu, one of the most skilled guitarists in japan (imo) and Yama-B, who has an amazing singing voice. They're often compared to such bands as Sonata Arctice and Stratovarius.

9GOATS BLACKOUT is the best new band there is. I usually hate new visual kei bands with boring 'already heard' sound. 9Goats blackout is not one of them. They have beautiful melancholic sound that you can't hate.

BUCK-TICK, I really can't describe what they sound like, their style changes with every album so you just have to listen to them to find out.

Yeah, Penicillin is nice!! The other band I havent heard about Sad

Well I wouldn't call Versailles 'cute little visual kei band'. They are visual kei but their music is greatly influenced by Neo-classical- and Symphonic metal, but 'Symphonic visual kei' pretty much fits the band Very Happy

Sigh is a Black Metal band with some Avant garde elements. As far as Buck Tick goes I'd say they have some Industrial influences but they do tend to change their sound a lot.

Black Metal, huh. Then I guess Sigh isn't really for me Sad I'm more into power-, progressive-, symphonic- and neo-classical metal. I simply love operaish singing and epic sound xD
But I'm not purely a metalhead, everything that sounds nice to me I like Very Happy was it pop or angst.
I'll check Sigh out, you'll never knows until you try Wink
