The Vatican Celebrates Darwin

The Vatican Celebrates Darwin

:nausea:

The Vatican is planning a special conference in 2009 to mark the 150th anniversary of the publication of On the Origin of the Species, Charles Darwin’s groundbreaking theory of evolution.Next year's conference will be held in Rome and organised by Poupard's former office, the Pontifical Council for Culture as well as by the University of Notre Dame and six pontifical universities.

You can read the WHOLE STORY here

I just want to say first of all to this (as well as the article regarding the Church of England's apology to Darwin that I posted about just previous to this post, here in this section), that Science and God/Science and the Bible are compatible. Science is not an enemy of the Word of God. In fact if people incline their attentions to true Science rather than "pseudo science", they would find that true science is a friend. There are some scientists who are enemies of God's Word and seek to disprove God's account, but the fact of the matter is that ALL that try have been unsuccessful. Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is NOT SCIENTIFIC FACT. It is a THEORY. It always was a theory and it continues to be a theory and the more scientific research that is done on the topic the more the theory becomes impossible to be true and is on its way to becoming a disproven theory. Just because you can get a large number of those who strive to disbelieve God to adopt it, does not make it any more true. In fact, the more scientific research is done on the topic, the more the evidence shows that there had to be a creator. There are ZERO morphed fossils to this day, as well there are no living "morphs". The theory has a ton of holes and is inconsistent. It is in many ways defended in the same way false doctrines are by its proponents. If there is something that they discover blows a hole in what is being contended, the information is either ignored, or they make up some kind of explanation (feeble at that) to attempt to make it go away. But neither applications are valid. What we are witnessing here folks is just another example of the apostasy of the Church. The great falling away that Jesus warned would occur prior to His return. Let us be sober and vigilant. Let us be found among the faithful upon His return.

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:8
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise you. Titus 2:11-15

It is awful that the Vatican would embrace this abominable theory. This theory is racist down to its roots. It was used as an excuse for the attempted extermination of the Jews.

What is worse is that in all reality, it is anti-Christ. And this garbage should not be celebrated by ANY CHURCH.
What does the Word of God say in John 1:1-3?

John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

God is the designer. He is the creator. Jesus is the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Not anything that was made, was made without Him. He tells us how the earth was without form and how He designed everything. Separated the land from the sea, the ground from the sky and created everything in and on the earth and commanded life into it all. And breathed life into man after creating him in His own image.

I think both the Vatican is sliding swiftly down a slippery slope. (as if they weren't already treading on one) and I would love to hear from devoted Roman Catholics, how they feel about this latest announcement from the Vatican.
Darwin was a proclaimed unbeliever of creationism. He was a scientist with an alternative agenda.
The catholic church are just trying to settle for a halfway house to attract members.
In reality they are working against what every true believer stands for and as a result are allowing the scientific agenda to gain a foothold within the catholic church

And what is sad is that it is not a true scientific agenda. It is an atheistic agenda in the name of science. It is and has always been since its inception a THEORY. Just because a "scientist" has the theory and not an artist, does not make it science. To treat it as though it is a proven fact is "psuedoscience" which basically means it is nothing more than a poser of science. Contrare to what non-Christians believe, science is not an enemy of God or the contents of the Bible. Granted there are scientists who are. Charles Darwin was a good example of such scientists.

Here's a more informative definition of psuedoscience.

Pseudoscience is defined as a body of knowledge, methodology, belief, or practice that is claimed to be scientific or made to appear scientific, but does not adhere to the scientific method, lacks supporting evidence or plausibility, or otherwise lacks scientific status. The term comes from the Greek root pseudo- (false or pretending) and "science" (from Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge").

My husband, when I mentioned this to him, called the Vatican a bunch of numbskulls. :lesson: He didn't use words as polite. The Catholic Church is working at odds with itself by endorsing Darwinism. Darwinism had been an excuse for a lot of evils that the Catholic Church opposes.

Yes. The number one of which is abortion. Besides that, hello? All of a sudden the almighty God we serve didn't create the world or us? Man was not made in the image of God? We all appeared here by some random fluke as apes or something else and evolved from there to here even though there is no evidence of any such evolving? Our lives are random, our destiny is random, we no longer have souls, there is no afterlife, there is no God, therefore there will be no wrath of God, and therefore no hell or heaven, which means there is no need for a Savior and down the slippery slope of no return they go.... that is of course, UNTIL they stand before the throne of the Living God and see Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords face to face, but by then many souls would have blindly followed them down that darkened path of no return. It makes absolutely ZERO sense for any Church that claims Christ, to endorse Darwin's concocted theory, that in no way coincides with the faith once delivered unto the saints and science as well as every living thing, of the past and present testify of the Living God and the revelation He has shared with us, which is found in both Old and New Testaments and not Darwin's rebel theory. I wonder when the people of the Catholic church will revolt? I think now might be a good time!
