well, it was nothing major. I was laid off from my job, my bathroom needed an emergency rebuild after the floor just about caved in( keep a close eye on yall's pipes), my truck's rear axle laid down on me, my car's transmission is fixing to go out ( and that's what I'm driving to Ringgold), and a few other things just fell apart.....
its been an interesting couple of weeks.

Dang,
Sounds like his luck is as good as mine 
Our van was down for 3 months with a defective alternator.
Finally got that fixed and 3 days later the dang serpentine belt breaks 
Sometimes feel as though my ship is sinking faster than the Titanic did 
Unreconstructed have a safe trip to Ringgold and back home

well everyone, Ringgold went off without a hitch. Billy Bearden was unable to attend, but Mid Ga chapter chairman Steven Monk stepped in and gave a great speech. H.K. gave us a rousing speech and topped it off with his now famous "I am their flag" speech. All together, we had about 50 people show up, some left early and some arrived late, but we had a pretty decent crowd, and we hope for more next year. It was a great honor and privilege to stand shoulder to shoulder advancing the colors with these great Southron men and women. the local ABC affiliate channel 9 showed up to tape the event, and H.K. took the opportunity to teach the reporter ( a yankee lady from illinois) a little about OUR heritage. the news footage can be found at this link here
here are just a few of the pictures, I'll post more shortly, and post a link to the rally page of teh NCP website:
a gathering of patriots. I am particularly proud of this picture, as it shows Patriots who came from as far away as Texas to stad with us. if yall look very closely, you can see my lovely wife in the background. You gotta love a Southron Woman, as she decided to make the trip with me.

H.K. and myself.At this point H.K. was sharing a few of my past experiences standing up for our heritage. it was an honor to meet him, and an even greater honor when he called me one of HIS heroes after sharing a few of my experiences with him sacrificing a great deal to stand up for our heritage.
I'll keep yall posted of upcoming NCP events, hopefully, I'll be able to meet some of yall and we can help advance the colors together.

Great pictures "unreconstructed1", I'm very happy that the rally went well. And as "Outsider" stated I wish I could have been there, but maybe if I start planning now I might be able to get it done in 2009. I am grateful for y'all doing this rally and to those that came from Texas, awesome...

well, as stated, plans are already in the works for teh 2nd annual rally in Ringgold, and I am working ith other NCP chapters on possible events between now and then. I'll let ya'll know when we come up with something.
